From the house

Guided walk

Three hours on foot through the medina, with an official guide, in your own language.

Three hours of walking through the medina with an official guide who speaks your language. This is not a postcard circuit: you learn how the city is put together, why the derbs turn the way they turn, and what is still made behind the closed doors.

You leave from the riad and come back to it. In between: the craftsmen’s quarters, the fondouks, the squares where the city arranges to meet itself — and time to stop, which is the whole point.

The activity is booked through the house, on arrival or before.

The sitting room: low olive-green banquettes, white cotton curtains tied back with red tassels, and green arabesques painted by hand across the ceiling.
